Long Term Supply
Gas is still plentiful in New Zealand. It is a long term energy source and will be available to heat homes, cook our dinners and provide endless hot water for decades to come. There has been much made of the declining Maui reserves, but there are still a number of other producing fields such as Kapuni and Mangahewa, and new discoveries being developed such as Pohokura and Kupe.
Domestic supplies are only one option for LPG as the product can be sourced from overseas. A mix of imported and domestic product have been supplied for some years now.
